Musical fireworks are anticipated at WJCs Blues Tuesday Jam Night on November 5th, with Jim Condie hosting!

The Dunfermline born singer and guitarist has built a career as a popular and versatile musician who can turn his hand to anything – sideman, frontman or soloist – from big band Jazz to solo Folk and Blues.

His close association with Tam White lasted almost 30 years; in the 1980s he played with Ronnie Tait’s Rootsie Tootsie Blues Band before spinning off into the perennially hard working Rootsies Duo, followed by duo Dr Chicago with Sandy Tweeddale.

Jim has continually represented and toured with visiting acts such as Mose Scarlett, Tom Ovans, Sugar Blue, Louisiana Red, and renowned guitarist Amos Garrett. His session work has included soundtracks, one of the best known being the theme from the BBC’s Rab C Nesbitt.

Says Jim: “My whole ethic has always been one of playing off other musicians – with the right chemistry, magical things can, and often do, happen.”

Jim will be playing in the company of the regular Blues Tuesday Band comprising Sandy Tweeddale (g,v), Kenny Potter (keys), Jordie Gilmour (drums) and Rod Kennard (bass)…plus any performers that care to join us – all welcome!! As ever, the entertainment is free in the hospitable confines of Whighams Cellar, and we look forward to seeing friends old and new on Tuesday night.
